PUD Discusses Rates, Local Dads Shut Off Another Light
Electricity | September 19, 2026
LEWIS COUNTY — Lewis County PUD has begun the public process of considering electric rates for 2027 and 2028, prompting residents across the county to begin aggressively switching off lights in rooms nobody is currently occupying.
“Dad has entered full conservation mode,” one local teenager reported. “Yesterday he unplugged my phone charger while I was still using it.”
Several households have reportedly begun preparing for possible future increases by lowering thermostats, unplugging unused appliances and reminding children that “we are not heating the whole damn county.”
PUD officials have not yet finalized future rates. Nevertheless, local fathers confirmed the thermostat will remain completely off-limits until further notice.
