Trump Sends Artemis Crew To Moon To Replace “Man In The Moon” With Himself
TRUMP | April 1, 2026
WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Donald Trump reportedly ordered NASA’s Artemis astronauts to the moon this week with one clear directive: remove the “man in the moon” and replace it with his own face, officially renaming the lunar surface feature “Trump On The Moon.”
White House officials said the mission marks a bold new era in American space leadership, in which the nation no longer wastes time on vague goals like science and exploration, but instead focuses on putting “something classy” on the moon for future generations to admire.
“We’re restoring greatness to space,” Trump told reporters. “People look up at the moon and they see a face, but not a strong face. Not a winning face. Soon they’ll look up and say, ‘There’s Trump on the moon.’ Very powerful. Very beautiful.”The announcement comes just days after Trump reportedly renamed Pebble Beach National Airport after himself, with aides unveiling its new title, Donald J. Trump National Airport, as part of what the administration called a broader effort to ensure “every important thing in America sounds more presidential.”
At press time, NASA sources confirmed engineers had been reassigned from mission planning to determine how many lunar craters would need to be adjusted to properly capture what one official described as “the president’s signature expression of strength, confidence, and slight disapproval.”—Dean
